IRSA Aqua Kork Plus, silky-mat, is a highly elastic, ready-to-use pure polyurethane dispersion with high filling power and extraordinary durability, especially developed for cork coverings. The swelling of some cork types is largely avoided with IRSA Aqua Kork Plus. This lightfast water-based varnish is also ideal for dyed cork.

The total consumption is at least 360g/m2. Interim sanding is usually carried out before the last top layer.

Final hardness is achieved after 5 days (at 20°C and 55% humidity).

IRSA Aqua Kork Extra, mat

for normal to heavy stress

IRSA Aqua Cork, mat, is a highly elastic, ready-to-use polyurethane dispersion with high filling power and very good durability, especially developed for cork coverings. The swelling of some cork types is largely avoided with Aqua Kork Extra. This light-fast water-based varnish is also ideal for light-coloured cork.

The colouring can easily be carried out with IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer).

IRSA Aqua Cork Extra, mat, is applied to the cork in 3 layers (per layer approx. 120g/m2). The total consumption of IRSA Aqua Cork Extra is about 360 g/m2. Interim sanding is usually carried out before the last top layer.

The final hardness is achieved after 5 days (at 20°C and 55% humidity).

Cork colouring with new IRSA colours of IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) and new Cork Water Varnish IRSA Aqua Cork, extra mat!

IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) is not only suitable for wood, but also for the coloured design of cork. IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) is a 2-component high-solid oil combination with natural oils, cross-linking and oxidative drying, by adding IRSA 2C Oil Hardener (mixing ratio 10:1).

IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) is available in the colours white, black, light grey, teak, anthracite, wenge, oak, mud, colourless. Brand new in the program are amber, wild green, porcelain blue, green-grey, cashmere white. And of course we also offer special tones on request.

The cork, which is very easily dyed with IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung can then be over-sealed just as easily. Even large areas can be dyed quickly and easily.

The new IRSA Aqua Cork Extra, mat, but also the IRSA Platinum 2C Water-based Varnishes (IRSA Platinum 2C Water-based Varnish 3010, silky-mat, Platinum 2K Water-based Varnish 3030, ultra-mat) are perfectly suited for this purpose. These varnish systems are matched to the highest level of elasticity of the cork and do not only promise a long lifetime but also give visually attractive qualities.

And so the IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) and new cork water varnish IRSA Aqua Cork extra (mat) is applied as follows:

IRSA Platinum 2C Öl-Grundierung (IRSA Platinum 2C Oil Primer) is applied evenly to the substrate in cross-coats with IRSA Rapid Spatula (consumption: approx. 30 - 80g/m2 per application). The pot life is 2 hours! After 10 - 30 minutes, polish the excess completely and evenly into the cork with a white pad, allow to dry for at least 24 hours and the surface is ready for over-sealing!

Check that the oil is sufficiently dry before sealing. Rub the coloured cork surface with a paper towel. If no abrasion can be detected, then the surface is dry (it is best to use dark cloths for light surfaces and light cloths for dark surfaces).

The over-sealing is as usual: Apply 2-3 coats of 120g/m2 per coat with the new cork Water-Based IRSA Aqua Kork, extra (or with IRSA Platinum 2C Water-based Varnish 3010, silky-mat, Platinum 2C Water-based Varnish 3030, ultra-mat). If a layer has a drying time of more than 12 hours, interim sanding with a grain size of 150 must be carried out. The hardening time is about 5 days.

Care and maintenance for a long product life and optimized appearance: The subsequent care and maintenance after the hardening time of the overcoat is carried out with IRSA Aqua Star R9 (for mat surfaces), so that the beautiful mat surface remains mat for a long time. IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)

Ready-to-use 1-component alkyde resin sealant based on vegetable raw materials and de-aromatised solvents.

Tested in accordance with DIN 18032 Part 2. Therefore, they are also suitable for gymnasiums and sports halls.

For normal and heavy stress. Especially some types of wood and installation that tend to swell and shrink more (e.g. beech parquet, floorboards, wood paving) can be effectively protected with IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid).

IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat, (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid) is also suitable for wood types which should receive a warm glowing of wood or that tend to discolour when further sealed with water-based varnish (smoked oak, cherry or other fruit wood).

The total consumption is at least 260 - max. 300g/m2.

1x IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid) is used undiluted as a primer. Drying of the primer is at least 24h. Interim sanding is carried out between priming and top coat. 1x IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid) is used as top coat.

Final hardness is achieved after 10 days (at 20°C and 55% humidity).

Areas of use: Living areas with normal to highly frequented rooms, corridors and stairs, wooden paving, workshop floors, gymnasiums and sports halls.

The new products IRSA Holzsiegel 2010 VOC High Solid (IRSA Wood Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid)/IRSA KH-Siegel 2010 VOC High Solid, silky-mat (IRSA KH-Sealer 2010 VOC High Solid) fulfil the Decopaint Directive 2004 Stage 2, limit value 500g/L VOC, which is valid from 2010, with a VOC value of 499g/L.

IRSA Lack 2001 (IRSA Varnish 2001) – VOC conform

is a 2-component polyurethane sealer in silky-mat (mixing ratio 1:1 with Hardener 2001). IRSA 2001 VOC should be used if maximum durability and chemical resistance of the parquet surface is required.

For very strong mechanical and chemical stress.

The consumption of the primer is 100g/m2 and for the respective top coat it is at least 2x of 130g/m2. We recommend the IRSA Mohair Roller for the application by rolling.

Areas of use: Parquet flooring in offices, doctors' surgeries, stairs and public buildings, if a 2C Platinum Water-Based Varnish cannot be used.

IRSA Platinum Aqua Kitt

IRSA Platinum Aqua Kitt is an aqueous dispersion for mixing with wood, bamboo or cork sanding dust.

The filling kit serves as a binder for wood, bamboo and cork sanding dust. The mixed compound is used, to close parquet, wood and cork joints. Fast drying (approx. 60 min.), no discolouration of the wood element, very good sandability and very good adhesive strength distinguish this product from others. Little subsidence in the joint.

Follow-up treatment can be carried out with solvent-based varnishes, water-based varnishes and oils.

Contains mixture of: 5-chlor-2-methyl-2H-isothiazole-3-on [EG No. 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazole-3-on [EG No. 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.

IRSA PLATINUM Spachtelgel (IRSA PLATINUM Spatula Gel)

Gel for base and interim filling.

Double benefit: Can be used as a water-based, ready-to-use putty varnish for priming (reduces side gluing) and for filling between all IRSA PLATINUM topcoats (binds residual dust, additionally fills joints).

Drying: approx. 30 minutes after the first smoothing, approx. 60 minutes after the second smoothing.
